<p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CIQirkH-QSU/SE-87gta54I/AAAAAAAAAvA/llPMGbjkFG0/s1600-h/centurion_mime.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CIQirkH-QSU/SE-87gta54I/AAAAAAAAAvA/llPMGbjkFG0/s400/centurion_mime.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210591024469698434" border="0" /></a>While the town itself has many supernatural presences, one obscure one stands out above the others. Apparently, the area around <a href="http://www.bathabbey.org/">Bath Abbey</a> and part of the town centre is haunted by the apparition of a Roman soldier.</p>
<p>A <span style="font-style: italic;">nude</span> Roman soldier.</p>
<p>While the Abbey itself only dates back to 1499, the land on which it was built has been a site of religious importance as early as the 4th century. As it&#8217;s name implies, the Romans built several baths in the area and were quite prominent in the region. Therefore, a nude soldier shouldn&#8217;t quite be a shock.</p>
<p>Do naked ghosts exist? Apparently&#8230; yet I haven&#8217;t had an opportunity to experience one for myself. But if you ever find yourself in Bath, keep on the lookout for the ethereal streaker&#8230;</p>
