    A Different Kind of Interview…

    2009 - 03.15

It’s always interesting meeting new people. And this year, I’ve been doing quite a lot of that! Among the wide range of characters I’ve chatted with is “Doctor Paranormal” John Crocitto (not to be confused with “Professor Paranormal“, Loyd Auerbach), a host of the internet radio show/podcast Beyond Ghosts! This Tuesday, I’ll be on the air at 7:00 PM discussing ghosts and my upcoming book.

It was pre-recorded, so I can tell you that it was a fun show fraught with technical difficulties at the most inopportune times. (And just a minor clarification: I don’t hunt gay ghosts exclusively; that would be too difficult!) But that’s technology for you. They’re not your typical “serious” people, so it was all in good fun. John and the gang (Jena and Ryan) call their approach “Guerilla Radio” and you never quite know what to expect. Hopefully, next time I’ll have all the bugs in the system worked out and things will go off without a hitch!

    Creepy Tales on the Tube…

    2008 - 10.31

Halloween has finally arrived, and with it an endless supply of haunted television programming.

Today, That’s Life with Robin Swoboda took a look at northeast Ohio hauntings. I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the producer who wished to interview me on camera about a local haunt: “Hell Town”, better known as the village of Boston in the Cuyahoga Valley. In two separate segments, I talked a little about the history of the area and its rumors and ghosts.

The program was filmed live at Squire’s Castle. Tales of Gore Orphanage and the Melonheads were relayed by the denizen of the departed, Stephanie Lane of Dead Ohio, and the crypt kicker himself, Chuck Hawley of Creepy Cleveland, respectively. Also featured on the show were Robyn Morris, innkeeper of Goodwin House Bed & Breakfast in Burton, as well as people from Painesvile’s Rider’s Inn and Perkins Mansion in Akron among others.

To view clips of the show, visit Fox 8 Cleveland’s ‘That’s Life‘ page. Video clips will be viewable for the next seven days.

Have a safe and fun Halloween, everyone!

    A Bigfoot(ish) Broadcast…

    2008 - 07.24

It’s time again for another shameless plug for an interesting and charming individual…

Cullan Hudson was the special guest last night on Let’s Talk Bigfoot. The discussion involved more than just the furry creature in the woods, though. Stories from his book, Strange State, were mentioned, as well as UFOs and even a brief touch on the subject of ghosts.

In case you missed Cullan’s interview, you can listen to it here:

A Brief Emergence from My Coffin

    2008 - 06.23

I’m still alive. I swear I really am.

It was an interesting weekend for me, but I will have to wait a while longer before I mention all the details. I’m slightly overloaded with work at the moment, so my entries will be more sporadic than usual. Today’s “Supernatural Spotlight” will be posted later in the week, as will several other things. I’m in the midst of a lot of other writing and have about a dozen phone calls to make, so these things must wait…

For now, I’m taking a brief hiatus from my blog, but only for 24-48 more hours. This week will be a very busy one for me, but in a VERY good way. Meanwhile, be sure to check Wednesday on The Sweet Flag for a brief interview with yours truly.

Never fear. I will return to my regular odd self within a few days!
